Let’s talk about visual reporting! The age-old joke about reports ending up in the circular file is a reality in the evaluation world. So often we work on large projects over multiple years that demand a summative final report. These 75-page (or more!) mammoth reports are useful to almost no one, but so much work goes into them we often forget that we can still create alternative reports that enhance evaluation use.
Over the past couple of years, we have focused on creating highly visual reports that are easy to understand and our clients are really starting to take notice of how it impacts their work. Of course, we love that moment when the client first sees a well-designed report and tells us how beautiful it is! But more importantly, we love to hear how this led to improved use of our findings.
We recently received some wonderful feedback from a client, Dr. Tami Weiss, Executive Director of Arts Integration Menomonie (AIM):
“As I have delved deeper into the full-color report that ARC developed and designed for CITA and PAINT, I am so impressed and amazed and how nuanced the reports have become to match our goals and objectives. We owe this to YOU!!! I can’t thank you enough!!!”
We wanted to share a few images from that report with you. The full report is publicly available on the AIM website as well.
